So work has finally started again on Erik's Civic.
Custom bumper support brackets have been fabbed and welded into place. Trying to drill the holes into the sheet metal was especially difficult. My best guess is that the metal became somewhat heat treated/tempered after doing some welding but I broke about 4 different bits while trying to drill through it.

Also my Paintscratch.com order came in so the front bumper was cleaned, prepped, painted, and clearcoated. I should be getting to the fenders next and then finally mounting some painted panels.

Also coming up in the very near future will be an install on my new Aerocatch hood latches.

So Ive gotten rid of the fiberglass interior and Im slowly but surely replacing the panels with some custom vinyl wrapped components. Obviously Im doing everything myself but here are some preliminary photos.
I also got some Recaro knock off seats that Ive built brackets for and installed.

So the motor brackets have been cut and welded, and the Evolution motor is in the engine bay with no outside assistance. Very soon the whole project will be moving out of my grandmothers garage to a more hassle free location. Now with all the major fabrication out of the way we should be able to get down to business and get this thing running.

Just picked up a '95 Civic coupe with a GSR motor in it for a damn good price. Car was hit in an accident but everything appears ok. Time to part it out and keep the stuff I can use. Pics up in my gallery!
